Addition and Amendments in Passport and Travel Documents

Additions
Addition of a Child in the Passport
The Consulate General of Nepal, upon request from parent or guardian of a child, would endorse the Name and the Photo of a child under the age of 5 years in the passport within three working days.
Parents or the guardians have to fulfill the following requirements:
- A fully completed application form for the addition of a child (Download Application Form for Addition)
- Photo 2 copies.
- Certificate of Relationship and a copy of the same.
- Certificate of Underage and a copy of the same.
- Birth Certificate, if born in Hong Kong.
- Passport ( in which addition has to make) and a copy of the same.
- Citizenship Certificate of the bearer of the above passport.
- A fee of Hong Kong $150 per amendment duly paid.
Addition of a Mentally Retarded Person in the Passport
The Consulate General of Nepal, upon request from parent or guardian of a mentally retarded person, would endorse the Name and the Photo of that person in the passport within three working days.
Parents or the guardians have to fulfill the following requirements:
- A fully completed application form for the addition of a mentally retarded person (Download Application Form for Addition)
- Photo 2 copies.
- Certificate of Relationship and a copy of the same
- Passport ( in which addition has to make) and a copy of the same.
- Citizenship Certificate of the bearer of the above passport.
- A fee of Hong Kong $150 per amendment duly paid.
Amendments
The Consulate General would make amendments in passports, English translation of citizenship certificate, marriage certificate and other documents as may be the case, if supported by the documents. However, please note that there shall not be any amendments in the Citizenship Certificate and the Birth Certificate from the Consulate.
Amendments in Passports and Travel Document
The Consulate General would amend name, surname, profession, date of birth, and address upon request from a passport holder within three working days.
The following requirements have to be fulfilled:
- A fully completed application form for amendments (Download Application Form for Amendments).
- Supporting documents as required.
- A fee of Hong Kong $ 100 per amendment duly paid.
Amendments in English Translation of Citizenship Certificate
The Consulate General would amend English Translation of Citizenship Certificate of on the basis of Nepali Original Citizenship Certificate within three working days.
The following requirements have to be fulfilled:
- A fully completed application form for amendments (Download Application Form for Amendments).
- Birth Registration Certificate and English translation.
- Citizenship Certificate and its English translation.
- A fee of Hong Kong $ 100 per amendment duly paid.
Amendments in English Translation of Marriage Certificate
The Consulate General would amend English Translation of Marriage Certificate of on the basis of Nepali Original Marriage Certificate within three working days.
The following requirements have to be fulfilled:
- A fully completed application form for amendments (Download Application Form for Amendments).
- Marriage Registration Certificate and English translation.
- Citizenship Certificate of husband and wife and their English translation.
- A fee of Hong Kong $ 100 per amendment duly paid.
